» Software for Betabrite LED Signs
|
Description:
The free software below will work with the Betabrite LED sign that is available
from Amazon , Sam's Club, or your industrial supplier.
The program to start with is the
LEDSignHelloWorld program below. A step up is the LEDSignHeadlines program
which can send delimited headlines from periodically downloaded websites to the Alpha or Betabrite sign.
The best program below is now kitchi. kitchi works with RSS, delimited headlines,
and more and sends this to Alpha signs, Betabrite signs and more.
An experimental process of getting your Betabrite Prism to work with Vista is available at: http://www.remote-control.net/articles/2007/vista_prism/
Thanks,
Peter Wallin

Documentation
If you have a favorite neighborhood bar or pub that has a Betabrite sign or two, be sure to tell the owners about
this program since it is more fun having the sign tell you what is going on in the world than seeing repetitive advertisements. (Their advertisements still can be placed between newsfeeds using the "inlinetext" input method)

Peter Wallin's Website Photo Gallery Creator Win32 - (link) - This program doesn't have anything to do with LED signs,
but it can help you make quick little photo galleries for uploading to your website. It doesn't change your original photos; it will make two new subdirectories of resampled photos and an HTML file.
Just point it to a directory of photos and press [Process].
The stand-alone executable file makes a great addition to your software toolbox.

Simple CD Cover Creator 2 Win32 - (link) - This program doesn't have anything to do with LED signs,
but it can help you make CD jewel case labels for your backups. It is a small and fast program that is easy to use and has a unique paper-saving option. (Picture: A)
Give a free copy to someone you know who could use a simple CD jewel case label program.
